The Internet is an International computer Network made up of thousands of networks linked together. Some of the
computers on the Internet are small PCs, while others are huge supercomputers. All these computers communicate
each other, share data, resources, transfer information, etc. To do it they need to use the same language or
protocol: TCP/IP (transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol) which is like the internet operating system.
Every computer is given an IP address. This address is a way to identify the computer on the Internet and is
composed of four numbers, each between 0 and 255, separated by dots.
